What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial intelligence enables computers and machines to perform human-like activities by learning from experiences and adjusting to the environment. How can a computer assess language as well as human?
When tests are first created, the questions are then asked from hundreds, sometimes thousands of people from around the world. All the responses are evaluated by experts who rate them on things such as use of language, content, on pronunciation. These expert ratings become the sample data for the computers to understand what kind of responses deserve what kind of marks.
By using AI, it enables the machine to imitate the expert ratings and assign human-like ratings to responses. When the test is taken, what is said or written is instantaneously compared with hundreds of previous responses and how they were scored.
